Sensational punk rock and indie rock artists Green Day and Catfish and The Bottlemen are bringing their signature sounds to the Coastal Credit Union Music Park!
Catfish and The Bottlemen was formed in Llandudno (North Wales, United Kingdom) in 2007 by Ryan Evan "Van" McCann and Billy Bibby after they started to jam on their guitars at Billy's parent’s place. They recruited Benjamin Blakeway (bass) and Jon Barr (drums) to complete the line up and named themselves after a Sydney street busker (called Catfish the Bottleman) who plays beer bottles hanging from a wire. Their sound draws parallels with that of acts such as Johnny Marr, The Cribs, Feeder, Mystery Jets, and Ryan’s vocals are similar to those of Luke Pritchard (lead singer of English indie rock band The Kooks). They’ve performed at many renowned music festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Kendal Calling, Liverpool Sound City, Y Not Festival, Strawberry Fields Festival, T in the Park, Pinkpop, Bonnaroo and Ibiza Rocks. They’ve also had the honor and privilege of performing at New York's Governors Ball. They’ve had a stellar career with 2 extended plays, 2 studio albums, and 11 singles. Their debut album (The Balcony) hit #10 on the UK Albums chart (eventually being certified Gold) and their follow up release (The Ride) topped the chart.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to punk rock and indie rock music!
